Phase 1 – The initial scheme in August 2015 consisted of enabling works for temporary shops and cafes. This included retaining the existing features, adapting and altering structures and forming new public facilities whilst reusing salvaged materials
Phase 2 – This phase in December 2015 consisted of permanent work for the shops and cafes. The contract covered fitting new services, damp proofing, installing electrical and plumbing systems, installing joinery utilising original materials salvaged from Folkestone Harbour, together with a specialist concrete resin floor and repairs to the existing structure
Phase 3 – This phase began in March 2016 with the renovation of Folkestone Harbour lighthouse including bare metal restoration of the existing lighthouse cap. It involved fabrication and installation of new metalwork and new access ladders and platform. Finally, the joinery was renovated to maintain the original features and appearance of this listed building.
